Exactly what I thought as I went through your post. I love rocks and shells also, but I wonder after a while how can you know which one came from where. That's why I normally get at most one item from each place I have visited. It must be something that really reminds me of the place, and looks good with my home. Many times I just left with photos for the memory, which I am totally fine also. I know some people who collect shot glasses, which I also feel is a good idea too.
